Candlelight Cabaret: when Moulin Rouge got drunk at a drag show
On June 21st 2025, Candlelight Cabaret transforms DV8 into a glittering spectacle for Pride.
Described as “Moulin Rouge got drunk at a drag show,” it’s a whirlwind of show tunes and camp chaos. Attendees are encouraged to bring their glitter and shed their inhibitions.
This event, says producer and director Siobhan Duggan, is the ultimate destination for a vibrant Pride celebration. Her vision has made Candlelight Cabaret a standout in Dublin’s queer and cultural scene.

By fostering inclusivity and creativity, this show offers a stage for diverse voices. The Pride edition of Candlelight Cabaret will take place in DV8, a well know venue nestled in Dublin 8 for embracing queer events.

Hosted primarily at DV8 in Dublin, Candlelight Cabaret also organises other events across the city. Each show promises a dazzling mix of performances, creating unforgettable nights. It’s a space where artistry thrives in a queer-friendly atmosphere.
Founded in 2022 by Siobhan Duggan, this project emerged post-COVID to offer a vibrant platform for artists. With her theatre background as a producer and director, Siobhan envisioned a unique cabaret experience.
