All pictures on our website and Instagram come from Braliem Jousc’s personal photograph archive.
Braliem has dedicated the last 4 years documenting the city with his old but loyal and beloved Canon camera. As someone fascinated (maybe obsessed) by the pictures from the 18th and early 19th centuries, he has cured and processed pictures of buildings, streets and places from his collection to make them look like they were taken more than 100 years ago.
Images in the archive are mainly sepia, but some others has a vintage touch that reminds the 70s and 80s.
With this photo archive and his 25-year background in journalism for several magazines and newspapers in Latinamerica, Braliem has tailored all the itineraries at Gay Dublin Tours, hosting tours as well.
His project is to process 3 terabytes of pictures, classify them and create a website to make the public access to the archive. So far there you can see some pictures on this website but new equipment, an external hard drive for storage, and a professional hosting service website are required for this ambitious photo project.
You can support this Archive and the best way is booking one or more of our 16 tours. All of them are created to fully appreciate Dublin along the day. We don't offer conventional short walking tours. Our main purpose is to immerse you into a real local long-day experience while walking and commuting in the city.
A selection of 10 sepia photographs (high resolution) from this Archive is given as part of the rewards to complete our tours, plus a certificate and a 15% off coupon to use in your second booking.
